Here's a portrait of a friend. I hope she doesn't mind her image forever recorded in cyberspace.

I was cruising through some old photos and it dawned on me that I have tons of black and white photos of friends. Perfect drawing material. So don't be alarmed if an image of you shows up here.

Some people have faces that are only recognizable by the sum of the parts. Others have faces that are recognizable by individual parts: big eyes, long chin, gap in teeth. This face is the latter, such that if only the eyes were drawn perfectly and the rest was way off, the person would still be recognizable.
