Bring less than you need. Always pack a mini toolkit. That 1950's, all steel tripod that looks great in your living room? It's too heavy. Invest in a lighter one. Your favorite pillow is a good idea. 15 sketchbooks aren't. Too heavy. 1 is sufficient.
Don't forget strong shoulders and dreamy eyes.
